StackFET for 62Watt design

Posted by: harshad.rank on

I have generated 62 Watt design based on TOP266EG using PI Expert Online. Input supply range for this generated design is 85VAC to 300VAC. As per application requirement, input supply range is from 150VAC to 480VAC. Please have look at attached design.

Can i add StackFET(HCA60R080FT) to increase input supply range up to 480VAC ?

Hi, good day!

PI Expert currently does not have a feature that allows you to add a StackFET on your schematic diagram. Additionally, PI Expert only supports a maximum of 300VAC.

However, you can verify your design using PI XLS instead to verify whether you need a StackFET or not. If you do, make sure the only design warning you see is exceeding the device's BVDSS.

If ever you need it for reference, I attached the link for DER-58 and DER-105 below, design reports utilizing StackFET topology.

Thank you and best regards.
