LNK364PN Design Verfication

Posted by: Srinivas_Srini on

Hi Team,

Greetings!!!

We have designed a AC to DC converter circuit for ongoing project using LN364PN, can you please help us to verify the attahced design and also kindly share EE16 Transformer details. The design is dual output with 12V and 5V

12V drives 3 Relays and a Buzzer

5V drives MCU, Segment LEDs. LEDs and other peripherals.

If possible pleas share some reference with respect to LNK364.

Thanks in Adavance.

Hi!

What is the input voltage range and output power?

We have a reference design which has the same output voltages as your design, 5V and 12V. The IC used is LinkSwitch-XT2 which is a higher version of the one you are currently using. This design is a 7W output with wide range AC input (85VAC-440VAC). It also uses EE16 core. You may refer to the design here: DER-736 7W 12V500mA 5V200mA 85-440VAC Non-Iso Flyback LNK3696P (power.com)

Thank you.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

Am looking for universal voltage as an input single Phase and it should withstand 300VAC, output  will be 12V,500mA/1A and 5V/200mA/500mA.

I have attached my latest schematics of LNK364PN. Kindly verify the same.

Hi,

Please double check the FB and BP pins. BP should be the one connected to the 0.1 uF capacitor.

Also, LNK364 can only deliver 6W power for universal input application.

Thank you.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply, Is everything ok apart from the capacitor

Hi,

Connection wise, I think it's okay. Just connect the feedback components to the FB pin, and 0.1 uF to the BP pin.
