Do you have any reference designs or applications for inductively coupled battery chargers or power supplies?

The unit is made of two separate modules, a base that plugs into a wall and the portable device that can be charged in the cradle with no direct electrical connection. I used to have an electric toothbrush that worked this way.

The base would connect to 120VAC, downconvert to a lower voltage, higher frequency to drive the primary winding.

The portable device has the secondary winding in it, down converts to DC voltage to drive a battery charger.

My assumptions are that splitting the primary coil from the secondary coil would have some EMI and safety issues.
